The Brothers Grimm

The original tale of Snow White
Snow White's mother dies in childbirth.
The evil witch queen is her father's new wife.

When the evil witch queen asks "Mirror mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all?", the magic mirror says "You are"...until Snow White turns seven, and the mirror says "Snow White is the fairest".

When she sends the huntsman to kill Snow White, the evil witch queen tells him to bring her Snow White's heart as proof of her demise.
When Snow White meets the huntsman, she begs for her life...so the huntsman brings the evil witch queen a boar's heart instead.

After wandering in the woods, Snow White comes to the Seven Dwarves' cottage.
When the Seven Dwarves show up, they think someone broke in...and discover Snow White, who explains to them the evil witch queen's plot against her.
The Seven Dwarves agree to let her stay with them, and eventually grows up into an adult maiden.
So...that means Snow White was only a child when she met the Seven Dwarves.

The evil witch queen, thinking Snow White is dead, asks "Mirror mirror on the wall..." again, but the magic mirror tells her, "Snow White is still the fairest, AND she is living with the Seven Dwarves".

When the evil witch queen shows up at the cottage in her old peddler disguise, she first strangles Snow White with an extremely tight bodice (but the dwarves loosen it up), then combs her hair with a poisoned comb (but the dwarves remove the comb)...before giving Snow White the poisoned apple and making her drop.

When the prince arrives, he takes Snow White to her father's palace...but one of his servants trips and causes the apple to fly out of Snow White's mouth, awakening her from her coma!
That's right; true love's kiss doesn't revive Snow White; it's some clumsy oaf who does it by accident!

When Snow White marries the prince, the evil witch queen asks "Mirror mirror..." once again, and the magic mirror tells her, "the fairest is a maiden who is marrying a prince".

The evil witch queen then shows up at Snow White's wedding, and the prince forces the witch queen to put on a pair of red-hot iron shoes and dance until she dies.
