Artemis and Actaeon: A Creative Iteration

It is quite warm out where I live.

This is as good a time as any to share my comic strip interpretation of a story about cooling off.

This is the Greek mythology story of how one man's gazing eyes got him turned into dog food.

Since Artemis is a moon goddess, this story centered on her takes place at night.

Her hair is white, the color of moonlight.

Setting this already terrifying story in the darkness of night has the added bonus of making it EVEN MORE terrifying...especially as Actaeon gets turned into a deer and torn apart by his own dogs for spying on the goddess of the hunt.

That is also why, in my picture of the gods of Mount Olympus, Artemis is wearing deer antlers.

In my version, after her incident with Actaeon, she removes his antlers from his skull and adorns them onto her head.

The Greek goddess of the hunt has a trophy of her own!
