Aphrodite, Ares, and Hephaestus

Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, is not exactly known for her chastity.

Like Zeus, she has many romantic affairs behind her spouse's back.

However, one time she was caught in bed with Ares, the god of war!

All is fair in love in war, after all...

In this cartoon representation of the story, the part where Hephaestus captures his adulterous wife and her lover (who happens to be his biological brother) in a net is obscured.

Inspired by Google's SafeSearch feature, this is a censorship device I plan to utilize in future Mythology Worlds cartoons.

Since Hephaestus is said in Greek mythology to be disabled in his legs (and a skilled metalworker) I'm starting to imagine him in a wheelchair of his own design.

Having the wheelchair move on its own is not out of the question, since Hephaestus built a freaking robot a couple thousand years ahead of its time!

This robot, named Talos, was powered by the blood of the gods.

Maybe the gods had a blood drive at some point?
