European Medieval monster-slayer stories are said to represent the triumph of Christian spirituality over paganism.

In this day and age, however, Europe is increasingly detaching itself from Christianity while its ancient native deities are being worshipped again.

As a mythology enthusiast (hence this website), I wholeheartedly welcome this polytheistic renaissance.

With this recent trend in the back of my mind, I wouldn't be surprised if future myths were concocted to represent neopagan rebellion against the proselytizing forces of Christianity.
